Information Security Analyst

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop organisational level IT security program with relevant policies and procedures
  • Monitor computer networks for security issues
  • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
  • Create an effective security incident management program and business continuity plan to minimise disruptions and business impact
  • Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs
  • Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause
  • Work with the security team to perform assessment tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
  • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
  • Stay current on IT security trends and news
  • Develop company-wide best practices for IT security
  • Perform penetration testing
  • Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
  • Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards
  • Represent organisation during IT security audits for SOC 2 and ISO 27001

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Information Security Certifications like CISSP, CISM Preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Compliance, Audit and/or Risk management or related field
  • Preferably, participated in SOC 2 and /or ISO 27001 audits
  • Awareness of OWASP
  • Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
  • Ability to work autonomously with flexibility and excellent judgment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
